Here's a HOT deal on Downy Liquid Fabric Softener at HEB starting Wednesday, October 30, as part of the new $5 P&G catalina promotion!

Then check out how the math works out below:

• Downy Ultra April Fresh Fabric Softener -- 40-load bottles priced at $3.97 each, with a $5 off 3 unlimited use coupon available in the HEB mobile app beginning 10/30.
• Febreze Air Effects -- assorted varieties priced at $2.97 each.
• Buy six bottles of Downy and two bottles of Febreze for a pre-coupon price of $29.76.
• Enter your digital app info at checkout to use your $5 off 3 coupon, which will take a combined $10 off your purchase.  Next, you can give a BOGO Febreze coupon from the 10/27 P&G inserts.
• Pay $16.79 out of pocket for all eight items, then receive your $5 catalina coupon to use on a future purchase.
• Your final price falls to $11.79 for all eight items, or only $1.47 apiece!

FAIR WARNING: Catalina promotions at HEB are getting more and more popular with couponers, but cashiers (and stores!) aren't always up to speed when a new promotion starts.

So if you want to pick this up, be prepared to follow up with the manager on duty if your catalina doesn't print and/or your cashier isn't familiar with the promotion.  

It's much easier to get this addressed at the register or immediately after you shop, although you can go back in the next day to talk to a manager if it's necessary.  

I recommend bringing a copy of the weekly ad to the register with you, since this week the catalina promotion is advertised on pages 9 & 10!

You can also request your reprinted catalina online, although obviously you will have to wait longer to get the new catalina mailed to you.  Also, note that you can only request ONE reprinted catalina per promotion -- another reason to get everything resolved right away at the store!
