Here's an easy snag on Planters Peanuts available at HEB this week if anyone likes them!
If you're not familiar with how piggybacking works, go here before you read any further.
That how-to guide is essential in understanding the following scenario:
- Planters Dry Roasted Unsalted Peanuts -- 16 oz jars priced at $3.50 each, with a digital coupon available in the HEB mobile app for a free 2-liter bottle of Dr Pepper with purchase (valid through 2/5/19.)
- Dr. Pepper -- 2-liter bottles on sale for $1 each (normally $1.66!)
- Buy two bottles of Planters and two bottles of Dr. Pepper. All four items will ring in at a pre-coupon price of $9.
- Enter your digital app info at checkout to get both soda bottles for free. That drops your price down to $7 for all four items.
- Next, piggyback the $1 off 2 Planters coupon projected to arrive in the 1/27 Smartsource insert. Remember, you aren't stacking coupons in this scenario -- you are buying four items but using only two coupons.
- Pay $6 for all four items.
- Finally, submit for this 50 cents off Fetch Rewards rebate on the Planters (limit one per app.)
- Your final price drops to $5.50 for all four items, or only $1.38 each!
NOTE: New Fetch Rewards users will also receive an additional 3000 points (like a $3 reward!) when they use my referral code D5UAY and then scan their first receipt before January 30, 2019.
(If you don't use the referral code, you won't get the bonus -- so be sure to write it down!)
So that means some of you could turn get all four items for just $2.50, or only 63 cents apiece!

As always, I recommend you have a copy of the current HEB coupon policy printed or pulled up on your phone when you go to check out.
Even though piggybacking is specifically permitted in the HEB coupon policy (as of nearly four years ago, actually!) some cashiers are still not aware of how the policy works. And trust me, you will save yourself a lot of aggravation if you can refer to it right away at the register!
