ALERT: HEB Catalina Coupons Not Scanning For Some

I have important information for any readers that did the recent $10 P&G catalina deals at HEB!

Some San Antonio couponers are reporting that their P&G catalina coupons printed WITHOUT a PIN on the bottom of their barcode -- as seen in the photo to the left.

Without that individual PIN number, these catalina coupons will not scan -- and it's very possible that your HEB manager will refuse to take them altogether!

I am personally growing quite frustrated with the level of mismanagement we are seeing at HEB with these catalina promotions.



For most of the year, HEB shoppers were not able to consistently receive catalinas printed at the register for the first several days of a promotion -- and met with a lack of knowledge that the promotions even existed when we asked cashiers (and sometimes managers!) for help.

Now, we are seeing that at least some HEB stores were issuing coupons that customers in fact would not be able to redeem.  That does not live up to the standard of customer service that I personally expect from HEB.

If you received a catalina coupon like the ones shown in the photo above, you do have a couple of options.

You can go here for information on how to request a reprinted catalina -- but keep in mind that a) you will need your receipt from the purchase that triggered your catalina, and b) typically you will only receive a single reprinted catalina.

You can also attempt taking the misprinted catalina back to your HEB location, and asking Customer Service to issue you a $10 gift card in exchange.  I have heard some couponers here in San Antonio have had luck with that in their stores.

Either way, I strongly urge anyone affected by these misprinted catalinas to contact HEB customer relations at 1-800-432-3113 to report the issue and share your experience.

I cannot stress this enough -- situations like this will not improve without corporate awareness and intervention with the problem.  And HEB corporate can't improve what they don't know about!

  2. something went wrong with there computers since a year ago. There coupons printed at the register and from the machine "simple it" never scan, they refused or made me wait to take them most of the time
