Time to add to your stockpile! We have a cinnamon allergy in the house, so we can't take advantage of this one. But hopefully some of you can!
If you're not familiar with how piggybacking works, go here before you read any further.
That how-to guide is essential in understanding the following scenario:
- General Mills Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal -- 16.8 oz boxes priced at $3.50 each, with a digital coupon available in the HEB mobile app for a free half-gallon of milk with purchase (good through 2/4/20.) There's also a $1 off 2 manufacturer coupon good on assorted General Mills cereal in the HEB mobile app.
- HEB Milk -- priced at $1.88 each.
- Buy two boxes of cereal and two half-gallons of milk for a pre-coupon price of $10.76.
- Enter your digital app info at checkout to use both coupons. Remember, you aren't stacking coupons in this scenario -- you are buying four items, and using two coupons.
- Pay $6 out of pocket for all four items.
- Next, submit for this 25 cents Fetch Rewards rebate.
- Your final price drops to $5.75 for all four items, or only $1.44 per item!
NOTE: New Fetch Rewards users will also receive an additional 2000 points (like a $2 reward!) when they use my referral code D5UAY and then submit ANY receipt.
(If you don't use the referral code, you won't get the bonus -- so be sure to write it down!)
So that means some of you could score yours for $3.75 for all four items, or 94 cents each!
And as always, I recommend you have a copy of the current HEB coupon policy printed or pulled up on your phone when you go to check out.
Even though piggybacking is specifically permitted in the HEB coupon policy (as of almost FIVE years ago, actually!) some cashiers are still not aware of how the policy works.
And trust me, you will save yourself a lot of aggravation if you can refer to it right away at the register!
