I am super excited, because my town is getting ready to open a brand-new Walmart next month!
For local readers, I live in Universal City, and our new Walmart has scheduled their grand opening celebration for July 13 (my birthday!) at 7am.
Now, I'm not excited about this because I'm planning on shopping at that Walmart.
I'm excited because it will be great for me as a HEB shopper!
Competition for my grocery dollars = new offers, promotions, and above all COUPONS from HEB!
Here's a photo of just SOME of the coupons my mom got from her HEB when it had a competitor Walmart open right across the street earlier this spring.
See, HEB does not want us to go check out those new stores.
And they will reward us big-time for shopping with them when that new store launches!
So I am planning on making a grocery trip to my Universal City HEB (again, on my birthday!) that morning, just to see what kind of coupons will print for me.
I'll report back and let everyone know what happened!
