HEB Piggyback Deals: Gorton's Fish Sticks $1.22 Per Bag (Normally $4.66!)

Wow, here is a HOT new piggyback deal on Gorton's Fish Sticks or Fillets available at HEB starting February 22, 2017!

After all discounts, we can grab bags for just $1.22 each, which is well below the usual $4.66 shelf price.

First things first: if you're not familiar with how piggybacking works, go here before you read any further.

That how-to guide is essential in understanding the following scenario:

  • Gorton's Fish Sticks or Fillets -- assorted varieties priced at $4.66 per bag, with yellow coupons available in stores for a free bag of Uncle Ben's Ready Rice AND a free box of HEB Macaroni & Cheese starting 2/22.
  • Buy one bag of Gorton's Fish Sticks, one bag of Gorton's Fillets, and two each of the Uncle Ben's Ready Rice and the mac & cheese.
  • All six items will ring in at $14.10.
  • Piggyback this $1 off 2 Gorton's coupon with two yellow coupons for the free rice and another two yellow coupons for the mac & cheese.  Remember, you aren't stacking coupons in this scenario -- you are buying six items and using only five coupons.
  • Your out of pocket price after coupons drops to $8.32 for all six items.
  • Next, submit for this 50 cents off Ibotta rebate (good on the fish sticks) AND this 50 cents off Ibotta rebate (good on the fillets.)
  • Your final price drops to $7.32 for all six items, which works out to just $1.22 each!

As always, I recommend you have a copy of the current HEB coupon policy printed or pulled up on your phone when you go to check out.

Even though piggybacking is specifically permitted in the HEB coupon policy (as of nearly two years ago, actually!) some cashiers are still not aware of how the policy works.  And trust me, you will save yourself a lot of aggravation if you can refer to it right away at the register!
