HEB Shopping Haul: Get Paid To Buy Colgate Toothpaste

I just wanted to show everyone the results of a quick little shopping trip I made to HEB this afternoon!

I spent $12.90 on 13 items, and I got my $4 Colgate catalina back to use on a future purchase.

So that's like spending $8.90 on everything, which works out to about 68 cents per item!

Here's my shopping breakdown:

  • Colgate Sparkling White toothpaste -- priced at $1.29 per tube, with 30 cents off coupons available in store.  I bought four for $3.96 after coupons, and they triggered my $4 catalina.  So that's like getting them all for free, plus an extra four cents in profit!  NOTE: If you don't know what the heck a catalina is, go here for a full walk-through.  I promise it will answer your questions!
  • HEB flour tortillas -- 20-count bags on sale for $1, with a coupon available for a free tub of sour cream with purchase.  So that's like paying 50 cents per item!
  • HEB sugar-free sparkling lemon water -- priced at 50 cents per bottle, and I bought two.  I have been obsessed with these this summer.
  • HEB Dipped S'Mores granola bars -- normally $1.88 per box, but there was a $2 off 2 coupon available in store.  So those dropped to 88 cents per box.
  • HEB Bake Shop 100% whole wheat bread -- priced at $1.48 per loaf.
  • Grape tomatoes -- on sale for $1.50 per pint
  • HEB fat free cottage cheese -- on sale for $1.88 per container.
What was really cool about my shopping trip was that I used NO manufacturer coupons that I brought into the store with me -- all seven coupons I used were the HEB yellow coupons available in store.

So literally even the newest of new couponers can replicate any of these deals -- the coupons are just sitting there waiting for you on the shelf!

  5. I bought 4 toothpaste only today and the catalina worked, but I asked about it so they pulled their official info. It's supposed to be a $10 colgate/palmolive purchase. Tomorrow, if buying 4 toothpaste only doesn't work; I'll buy 8. That way it's still like getting them for .50 which is my target price anyway.
